How much time to you need for set up & sound check?
Ideally 1 hour maximum. This includes loading our equipment in, setting up, sound check and getting changed ready for the show.
What are your standard performance times?
Standard playing times are from 8pm to 12am.
I'm not sure what my timings are going to be yet, is there any flexibility on the standard timings?
Absolutely, just let Coast know what changes you would like to add such as earlier start or later finish. We will always try to accommodate your needs.
How long do you take for your break? Are you able to play background music during this time?
We normally take a half hour break, usually while the buffet is being served. We can play background music during this period.
Can I pick the songs that you'll play on the night?
Of course you can have an input into the songs that we play at your wedding. It's ideal to have a chat around which songs you would like to hear as well as some of the songs that you might not, that's just as important. We want to make your night as enjoyable and memorable as possible.
Will you learn our first dance if it's a song that you don't already know?
Totally, the first dance is one of the highlights of the evening. We will learn your first dance song or you can have the original played if you prefer.
Can you take any requests on the night?
Taking requests is a must and we encourage it. This allows us to get an idea of the types of music that your guests want to hear.
My venue has a 1am license, do you offer an extension to keep the night going until then?
Yes we do. You can either have a DJ set till 1am or you can have the band play on till 1am if that would be better for you.
Do you offer any other add-on options?
We offer a ceilidh set at no extra cost.
Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?
Yes, we supply all equipment and lighting necessary to perform for you.
What do you think your clients love most about your performances?
The fact that we have both male and female lead vocals means that we can cover a huge rage of music. We keep the dance-floor buzzing with very little time spent between songs, this is a massive plus, helps keep the momentum going and builds on the atmosphere. We really enjoy performing and that comes across, we have a great time. Our performances are lively and we have great interaction with your guests.
Which artists are you most influenced by?
As a band we have a wide range of artists and music that we enjoy ranging from country to rock and everything in between. One thing that we all agree on is just playing good music that gets guests bouncing, making them want to dance all night.
Can you provide a ceilidh set? If so, could you give us more info about this - how long does it last, what instruments do you play, can you call the dances for our guests?
Yes, we provide around a half hour ceilidh set covering some of the most popular dances that we all learnt at school. We get guests to demonstrate the dances with instructions from us before we all get stuck in. We call the dances throughout the entire dance. Ceilidh is a fantastic way of getting your guests involved, sometimes people can be reluctant to get up to dance. This sorts that out no problem. As soon as you've had a wee bit of ceilidh you can't sit down the rest of the evening.
