How much time do you need for set up & sound check?
This really depends on venue and access, however an hour is the average time. I always aim to arrive really early, get a feel for the room and ready to set up as soon as I can.
What are your standard performance times?
7.00pm to Midnight. I can also offer an all day package which involves welcoming in your top table, comparing your speeches, playing music during your meal and on to the evening entertainment.
I'm not sure what my timings are going to be yet, is there any flexibility on the standard timings?
Totally - weddings can be stressful enough! I always aim to be as accommodating as possible!
How long do you take for your break? Are you able to play background music during this time?
I don't really take a break during my standard set. I'll pop to the bar for a water and blackcurrant (very rock and roll!!). However I'll play during the buffet and discuss with you which approach you would like during this time; lower background music to allow your guests to chat or continue with the party.
I like to ensure your party is as bespoke to you as it can be.
Can I pick the songs that you'll play on the night?
Yes! You can also get access to your own bespoke event planner, allowing you to choose the songs you love and would rather avoid.
Normally, during a standard set I would play around 90-100 songs. I always recommend providing around 25 to give me a flavour of what you like and the rest is your guests requests and me reading the dancefloor... At all stages I can provide suggestions and recommendations. However it is your event and will take full direction from you.
I can provide a text number on the night for your guests to text in requests.
Will you learn our first dance if it's a song that you don't already know?
As a DJ singing isn't my strong point and would possibly cause injury to your guests lol!
Can you take any requests on the night?
Yes definitely! As I said, I can provide a text number for guests to whatsapp or text in requests.
My venue has a 1am license, do you offer an extension to keep the night going until then?
Definitely! My standard set is to Midnight, however happy to extend this on if required.
Do you offer any other add-on options?
I can also provide up lighting - placing up to 7 LED uplighters around your venue (more if required). This really will create a wow factor. These can be set to a solid colour or pulsating through different colours.
It is important that your venue has sockets throughout the room.
Why not add on our Karaoke package too? With 2 mics, a screen and tens of thousands of tracks to choose from. This can be for a limited time during the evening, such as the buffet or throughout the night.
Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?
Yes - I use professional sound and lighting systems.
What do you think your clients love most about your performances?
I love to interact with a crowd. Every event is different but clients love my ability to fill a dancefloor and read a room.

Can you provide a ceilidh set? If so, could you give us more info about this - how long does it last, what instruments do you play, can you call the dances for our guests?
I am happy to play ceilidh music but I'm not a caller. Sometimes it works well if you have a guest that knows all the moves and we can get them up - a PE teacher friend would be perfect! They always seem to know the moves!
